About Us

Welcome to Explore China Club!

Here is a basic introduction about our Explore China Club down below.

Our main purposes are:

  1. To explore Chinese traditional culture and arts, and the influence it has on other countries.
  2. To make the people who hasve other culture backgrounds understand more about Chinese culture.
  3. To help the students who are or who will be taking a course in Chinese.

Activities

  1. Chinese tutoring for students who are interested in learning Chinese.
  2. Traditional festivals with their legends and stories, also experience how Chinese people celebrate it.
  3. Playing games that is related to Chinese culture.
  4. Go out for Chinese food.
  5. Explore Chinese traditional arts by showing PPT or Exact stuff.
  6. Provide some volunteer services. (Ex. Go to Nursing Home and singing Chinese songs for them. I know that sounds crazy huh...

    China has more than 5,000 years history, it has countless historical stories and interesting legends. We have a lot of interesting activities like celebrations for every Chinese traditional festivals. From this club, you'll getting known about Chinese culture gradually.

    Other wise, this club is not only open for Chinese or Aisian. We also welcome non-asians to join our club as well.

 

History of China

Covering approximately 9.6 million square kilometres, China is the world's second-largest country by land area, and the third or fourth-largest by total area, depending on the definition of total area.
The ancient Chinese civilization – one of the world's earliest – flourished in the fertile basin of the Yellow River in the North China Plain.For millennia, China's political system was based on hereditary monarchies, known as dynasties, beginning with the semi-mythological Xia of the Yellow River basin (c. 2000 BC).
Since the introduction of economic reforms in 1978, China has become the world's fastest-growing major economy.The PRC has been a United Nations member since 1971, when it replaced the ROC as a permanent member of the U.N. Security Council.

Our Hopes

    This is a place for us. We have a dream that one day everyone who works in the Explore China Club has more energy to pursue his/her dream.

    We can feel the power of dream, which can push forward. So let's start a dream. Dream what you want, what you need. Do keep in mind that your dreams can become ture someday.
